Midterm Feedback
From the Demo Day showcase (video presentation), I received meaningful feedback from peers and instructors as follows:
- There was a positive feedback for the moving keywords, as they allowed the audience to see everybody’s answers. Some peers mentioned that those keywords are interesting.
- Although the audience enjoyed the moving texts, there was an issue when the texts move off of edges or overlap with one another, which interrupted the flow of the experience.
- WebSockets was automatically disconnected when there was no input, and it took a while to reconnect. The audience might get confused about their answer not showing up on the wall, which also interrupted the experience as well.
- The instructor suggested that I try experimenting with different locations for the second visualization (AI-generated images), e.g., projecting it on the ground instead of to the ceiling to address the nature of eye tracking.
- The current choice of sound might not enhance the experience that well. Maybe try exploring more sounds.
Questions from the audience:
- Would the audience see all data from others?
- Is the data collective and forever stored in the exhibit?
- How would the text look like when there are repeated answers from the audience?
- How are you expected the audience to interact with the project?
- Would you have more information about the project on the website?
